An independent, coed K-12 day school in Atlanta

Academic Resource Center

Research tells us that children learn in a variety of ways.

Understanding and addressing these differences helps the Academic Resource Center to be more effective in preparing students to succeed both on campus and in the world. The Wood Family Academic Resource Center (ARC) strives to empower the Lovett community—students, parents, and faculty—to understand the neurological underpinnings of learning and master best practice in support of the whole child.

Speed Ahead Tutoring Program

The Academic Resource Center offers K-12 students the opportunity to reinforce skills or acquire new skills over the summer through our Speed Ahead Tutoring Program. Students are contracted for approximately eight one-on-one sessions, or based on need, the Academic Resource Center may also offer small group sessions to current or incoming students in particular grades. All Speed Ahead tutors are current employees who have a thorough understanding of Lovett’s curriculum and academic expectations.
